Long Term Evolution (LTE) is reffered to the next step of wireless broadband technology that offers better performances in throughput, latency, and spectral efficiency compared to the previous technology (3G). LTE uses OFDM as it’s core technology which proven in reducing the effect of inter-symbol interference (ISI), multipath fading, and utilizing scalable bandwidth.

 Voice over IP (VoIP) is an IP-based voice service which changing the way conventional telephone system. VoIP enables digitalized voice and multimedia over IP network. Nevertheless, VoIP has constant bit rate and delay intolerant characteristics. In this journal, we tried to improve LTE performance in transmitting VoIP real time service by implementing scheduling algorithm. Scheduling algorithm plays a key role in enhancing network's performance by selecting the right user to utilize channel bandwidth. Proportional Fairness is one of the conventional scheduling algorithms for data packet network that offers good trade-off between network's throughput and fairness among users. In this journal, the behaviour of conventional Proportional Fairness is modified so that it can manage real time service that has QoS constraints. Simulation results show that proposed algorithm can perform better than the conventional Proportional Fairness in terms of delay and throughput.
