In electric power system, reliability becomes a very important factor. System reliability is used to analyze the capability of equipment or system in doing its functions. This presented paper is about system reliability in 150 kV East Java transmission line, especially Waru-Sawahan 1 transmission system using FTA (Fault Tree Analysis). In this method, failure rate of main transmission equipment is calculated in looking for the reliability index of the system.

Nowadays, Industry use boilers in process of steam utilization. To obtain the optimum steam, controlling the combustion temperature is required. In this research, mini boiler is designed, it look like a tube with a length of 80 cm and diameter of 40 cm. The combustion process uses gasses as fuel. System modeling of a mini boiler will be used to get the block diagram of the system based on the function. Then, based on the block diagram, PID controller is designed to control the temperature of the mini boiler combustion air. Input variables consists of temperature and error of the thermocouple readings.

The depth and type of soil affect soil resistivity value. In this research measured grounding resistance measurements carried out with method 3 (three) points and two auxiliary electrodes. Least squere inversion display is used to display two-dimensional profile configuration data mapping.

Sistem pengisian air minum konvensional masih memiliki kelemahan, untuk mengisi air ke wadah atau gelas harus dilakukan dengan menekan keran atau menuang air secara manual. Seiring perkembangan teknologi memungkinkan sesuatu dapat dikendalikan secara otomatis dan dioperasikan termasuk pengisian air minum. Konsep dasar kendali pengisian air adalah membandingkan tinggi wadah terhadap tinggi permukaan air dengan metode scanning sensor ultrasonik Ping.

Solar power generation is a renewable energy source by using solar light that converted into electrical energy through energy processing devices such as solar collectors and solar cell . Processing of solar energy into electrical energy can be obtained directly by using the solar cell and while solar collector require other tools such as generators. The main components of the solar power plant is a solar cell, inverter and load. The problems that occur in solar power generation by using solar cell is unstable on output voltage due to the influence of light intensity and load.
