Pada tulisan ini disampaikan hasil studi mengenai penggunaan fuzzy sliding mode controller pada kendali motor induksi tiga fasa dengan teknik direct field oriented control. Prinsip kontrol didasarkan pada penggabungan teknik sliding mode controller yang bersifat robust dan stabil terhadap gangguan dan perubahan parameter dengan fuzzy logic controller yang memiliki sifat kontrol yang halus.

Harmonic is one of sinusoidal components, one wave period from which having multiple frequency of its fundamental frequency one, leading to electrical power quality problems. This research was done by performing studies in harmonic voltage and harmonic current from four different brands of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt.

Power transmission lines are the vital links that achieve the essential continuity of service of electrical power to the end users. Transmission lines connect the generating stations and load centers. As the generating stations are far away from the load centers they run over hundreds of kilometers. Hence, the chances of fault occurring in transmission lines are very high.

Implementasi sistem digital menggunakan FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) menunjukkan adanya peningkatan performa pada sistem tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, enkoder konvolusi (2,1,6) telemetri channel coding diimplementasikan kedalam FPGA Xilinx Spartan-3E. Untuk tujuan implementasi tersebut, enkoder konvolusi (2,1,6) dimodelkan menggunakan bahasa pemodelan perangkat keras VHDL (Very-High-Speed-IC Hardware Description Language).

Unit Commitment is a way to decide which generation need to be activated or not in certain load period with optimum coast. A common method used is dynamic programming method. This research is conducted to modify the dynamic programming method by adding priority list and new experiment method using tabu search. The method of analysis will be done by using  10 Unit Generation of secondary data IEEE with phyton 2.7 as the sofware aid.
